FAQ: How much is it to shred hard drives?
Our current pricing (2024) is £10 (inc VAT) to shred a hard drive and there is a £6 (inc VAT) fee for removing hard drives from laptops/computer towers if this is required.
FAQ: Can I watch my hard drives being destroyed?
If you have your hard drive out of the laptop/computer tower you can wait whilst the hard drive goes through the shredder and is securely shredded at our shredding site in Neston, Cheshire. You need to book an appointment for this by contacting our team by phone, email or use our online contact form.
FAQ: How do you destroy my hard drive?
We have an industrial hard drive shredder at our shredding facilitiy in Neston, Wirral where we shred all hard drives. As you can see in the image above, it shreds hard drives into really small pieces for security.
FAQ: Do you send confirmation of hard drive shredding?
Yes we can provide all customers with a certificate of destruction for all hard drives that are shredded. It includes the quantity shredded and the date so you have proof of destruction.
FAQ: Can I post my hard drives to you?
Yes you can however you need to contact us prior to doing this so we can take payment and know to expect them with us. We advise you send hard drives with a fully tracked and insured service. FAQ: How do I take out my hard drive from my laptop or computer tower?
You can usually find the hard drive in the tower by removing the back and sides of the tower and then unscrewing the hard drive from the holder.
With a laptop you usually find your hard drive in a slot in the side of your laptop or if you remove the base and battery, you should be able to see a slot where you can then unscrew your hard drive from.
All laptops and computer towers are slightly different and if you need, we can remove the hard drive for you.
Our hard drive removal service is £6 and we will take out your hard drive for shredding from your laptop or computer tower for you. We then recycle the computer tower or laptop and shred the hard drive.
