Deciding on a secure shredding solution for your business can be tricky and so we are here to help make it easier when evaluating a shredding cabinet service!
If you are not certain how a cabinet shredding service runs, then we deliver a locked shredding cabinet (like in the photo below) to your premises. You can then fill the cabinet with paperwork that you need to be securely shredded by putting it through the slot at the top of the cabinet. We then collect the shredding bag inside monthly and bring it back to our premises for same day shredding.
Now back to is it worth it? One of the biggest advantages of a shredding cabinet, is the time it saves you and your employee’s! So many of our customers say that it has saved them so much time not having to stand at a shredder and shred their own paperwork and it means people are more likely to shred more documents as it is easier and quicker to just put it in the cabinet.
Another reason why a cabinet is worth it is security. You know your paperwork is shredded to a small and secure cut level and then baled for further security. Unfortunately a lot of office shredders are strip cut and don’t shred to a particularly small level. This means your shredded paperwork isn’t that secure. We shred to a cross cut level which helps ensure the destruction of your paperwork is more secure and baling it also helps to increase that security. If you want your business to be sustainable and try to reduce your environmental impact then a shredding service can again be worth it. All our shredded paperwork is recycled which means that every month all your paperwork is collected, shredded, baled and recycled rather than being sent to landfill.
Finally, the final reason we think a shredding cabinet service is worth it is the low costs. Our prices (for April 2023) start at only £18 + VAT per collection and this includes use of the cabinet, monthly collections with same day shredding and you will receive a certificate of destruction for your records too!
