Removing a hard drive from a laptop/computer tower for shredding:
The image on the left here shows you an example of what some hard drives can look like if you want to remove the hard drive from your computer/laptop yourself before it gets shredded. They can also be a lot smaller or bigger and sometimes have casings on them. They will normally say on them that they are a hard drive and tell you information such as memory and serial numbers so you know you have located the hard drive. Sometimes computers and laptops have two hard drives so be careful to look out for that also!
If you don’t want to take out the hard drive yourself, you can give us the whole laptop or computer tower and for a small fee we can remove the hard drive for you and recycle the tower/laptop.

We have an industrial shredder that shreds hard drives (yes it can really cut through the hard metal drives – it’s very loud!) and shreds them into small pieces.
When you bring us hard drives for shredding we ensure they are always shredded same day as drop off or collection so that you have peace of mind. We can provide you with a certificate of destruction for your secure hard drive shredding for your records which is emailed over to you.
We have parking out side our shredding service premises in Neston, Cheshire and are open from 9am to 4pm.
Posting hard drives for shredding:
If you are not local to us, you can always post your hard drives to us. We recommend that you use a tracked and insured service and you can send them to us and we will shred them same day as they arrive. If you would like to post us your hard drives for secure destruction, please email or call us in advance to let us know. We will email you an invoice to pay (either by bank transfer or call us and pay by card over the phone) and let us know the tracking information of the parcel. When it is with us and shredded, we will email a certificate of destruction.
